Freelance software developer in Argentina — local, senior, on-site when it matters.

Based in Rosario, I've worked with Argentine clients since 2014 — from startups to family businesses. I invoice as monotributista or responsable inscripto, integrate MercadoPago and AFIP, and can meet in person in Rosario, CABA or Córdoba when the project warrants it.

Start a project

Local to Argentina, not "remote from Argentina"

I'm here. I can meet you in Rosario, take a flight to BA for a kickoff, and show up in person for the conversations that shouldn't happen on Zoom. That's a different product than hiring someone abroad who happens to speak Spanish.

AFIP and invoicing done right

I bill as monotributista (cat varies per contract) or responsable inscripto with IVA and retenciones when the project requires it. Factura A, B or C, CBU, CVU, transfer in ARS or USD — whichever fits your accounting, not mine.

The integrations Argentine projects actually need

MercadoPago checkout and subscriptions, AFIP facturación electrónica, WebSockets con bancos, ARCA/AFIP padrón lookups, Correo Argentino and Andreani shipping APIs, WhatsApp Business. Seen them, shipped them, know what breaks on Argentine infra.

Understand the local market rhythm

I know how Argentine startups budget (USD-pegged contracts because peso is unstable), when boards happen (usually end-of-month), and how to run a project that survives inflation and FX shifts. If your team is here, you don't have to explain context twice.

What hiring an Argentine freelance engineer looks like in practice

The Argentine software engineering market is a strange mix: world-class talent trained at UBA, UNR, UTN, and the old Globant/Mercado Libre/Despegar pipelines — competing for the same USD-paying remote jobs as developers in every other timezone. When you hire locally as an Argentine company, you're often paying international rates to the engineers best positioned for the global freelance market. That's the reality.

Where I fit: projects where the team is local (or has a local office) and wants someone who shares the context — AFIP, the monotributo rules, what a "factura emitida a tu CUIT" means, why the peso matters for contract structure. For that kind of engagement, a local freelance engineer beats a remote agency every time. Less translation, no US-cost bill, same quality.

Billing structure: I usually invoice as monotributista in the category appropriate to the contract. For larger engagements I can shift to responsable inscripto with IVA, but that's a conversation at scoping time. Payment is typically ARS transfer for local operations, or USD (via bank transfer or Wise) when the client bills internationally. Both are fine.

Rate model: pegged to USD, invoiced in the currency of your preference at the day-of-invoice BCRA exchange. This keeps both sides sane through FX volatility — I don't lose purchasing power and you don't eat all the currency risk. It's the same pattern most Argentine developers use with global clients, and it works well for local clients too.

Engagement shapes that work well: MVPs for Argentine startups going to market, internal tooling for mid-sized local companies, e-commerce on Shopify or Tiendanube for merchants serving CABA/interior, and WhatsApp-first customer platforms. I've also worked with Argentine agencies as the senior engineer on a specific project, reporting to their PM.

FAQs
