Freelance software developer for Spain — remote, senior, Spanish-native.
I build web, mobile and e-commerce projects for Spanish clients — with native Spanish, EU-friendly working hours, GDPR-aware architecture and a portfolio of shipped work across Barcelona, Madrid, Sitges, Mijas and Valencia.
Start a projectNative Spanish, clean communication
Technical conversations, contracts, documentation, client handovers — all in Spanish when you prefer. No "lost in translation" moments on critical decisions. I also work fluently in English and Italian.
Spanish clients already on my roster
Don Piso Sitges, Don Piso Mijas, Hotel Caserío Aldeallana, Hostería Valdemoro, Finca Aldeallana. I understand the Spanish SMB context — pricing expectations, tooling preferences, invoicing (autónomo, IVA, IRPF).
GDPR-aware by default
Spanish projects live in the EU regulatory context: GDPR consent, data residency, cookie banners that comply, AEPD-friendly privacy architecture. Not an afterthought — baked into how I design data flows.
EU-compatible timezone
Based in Argentina (UTC-3), I overlap 4-5 productive hours with Spanish business time daily. Real-time meetings in the afternoon, deep work in your evening / my morning — most Spanish clients barely notice the distance.

When a remote LATAM freelancer makes sense for a Spanish project
The Spanish freelance market is tight — good senior developers in Madrid or Barcelona are either expensive or booked 3 months out. Hiring remote from LATAM is a solved problem now: same language, overlapping timezone, rates that compete with mid-level local developers but with senior experience behind them.
Where I fit best for Spanish clients: SMB and mid-market projects where you need a senior engineer without hiring a full-time employee, e-commerce stores that have outgrown templates, hotel and tourism booking platforms, real estate portals with SEO-heavy catalogs, and WordPress-to-modern-stack migrations. I've shipped exactly these across Catalonia, Andalucía, Madrid and Castilla y León.
Where I don't fit: projects that need daily physical presence in your office, highly regulated sectors where EU-residency of the engineer matters for compliance, or very small budgets where the overhead of remote coordination doesn't pay off. For everything in between — and that's most SMB software work — remote has become the default, not the exception.
On Spanish market specifics: I understand autónomo invoicing and can work under SOW or simple mercantile contracts. Payment in EUR via bank transfer is standard, though I also invoice USD for clients who prefer. Most Spanish SMBs I work with don't need heavy legal overhead — an SOW, clear deliverables and net-30 payment terms is the usual shape. For Plus-tier Shopify or enterprise projects, we'll use whatever framework your procurement team requires.
FAQs
No — I invoice as an Argentinian freelancer. From the Spanish client side, this is an international services invoice without IVA (the client handles VAT via reverse charge). Much simpler than hiring locally and many Spanish SMBs are already set up for it.
I start around 8 AM Argentina time (1 PM Madrid in summer, 12 PM in winter). You get a full productive overlap from 1 PM to 7 PM Spanish time — meetings, reviews, critical discussions. I catch up on focused work after that; you get progress overnight.
Yes. I don't write native copy in Catalan or Basque, but the i18n architecture, hreflang, language switcher, and SEO setup are the same as any multilingual build. I'll work with your translator or copywriter for the content itself.
Both. I've worked with agencies (Neowyze partnerships in Spain) and direct with operators — hotels, real estate, clinics, e-commerce. Agency work means I report to a PM; direct client work means I partner with the founder. Happy with either.
Fixed-scope for MVPs and defined features. Hourly or monthly retainer for ongoing work. Rates are competitive with senior local rates in Spain — I'll quote after a scoping call, in EUR or USD as preferred.
Availability varies. I typically have a 1-3 week ramp-up window before starting new fixed-scope work, depending on current load. For audits or short engagements, I can usually start sooner. Ask and I'll tell you straight.
