Freelance software developer for Brazil — UTC-3 match, Pix / NF-e / LGPD-aware.
I build software for Brazilian startups and companies with full São Paulo timezone overlap, Pix integration experience, NF-e / NFS-e issuance via SEFAZ gateways, Open Finance-ready backends and LGPD-compliant data architecture.
Start a projectSame timezone as São Paulo
Argentina and Brazil share UTC-3 (São Paulo and Rio sem DST). When you're starting your day, so am I. Full overlap for standups, real-time code reviews, and launch days — no async gymnastics.
Pix integration experience
Pix reshaped Brazilian payments. I've integrated Pix cobrança (BRCode, QR dinámico, recebimento via webhook), Pix Automático for subscriptions, and the full flow for merchants migrating from Boleto to Pix. Knowing which bank/PSP integrates cleanly is half the battle.
NF-e, NFS-e via SEFAZ gateways
Brazilian invoicing is a maze — NF-e for products, NFS-e for services (different per municipality), CT-e for logistics. I've integrated via providers like NFe.io, PlugNotas, Focus NFe, and municipal systems for SP/RJ/BH. Knowing the quirks per prefeitura saves weeks.
LGPD-aware architecture
LGPD is Brazil's GDPR-equivalent and ANPD (Autoridade Nacional de Proteção de Dados) is increasingly active with fines. I design data architectures with minimum necessary principle, explicit consent flows, data subject request handling, and audit logs — baked in from day one, not bolted on after.
What I work with for Brazilian projects
- Next.jsWebsites and dashboards with native SEO support
- NestJSProduction backends for SaaS, CRMs, booking systems
- React NativeCross-platform mobile apps for App Store and Google Play
- NF-e (SEFAZ)Emission via PAC providers, status tracking, cancelamento
- PixCobrança BRCode, Pix Automático, webhook reception, reconciliation
- Mercado PagoRegional checkout with Pix + Boleto + Cartão support
- Pagar.meFull-stack Brazilian payment with split and recurring
- Open FinanceConsent flow, account aggregation, transaction retrieval
- WhatsApp BusinessCustomer comms on the channel Brazilians actually read
- StripeFor clients billing USD internationally
- UTC-3 matchSame working hours as São Paulo and Rio
- LGPD-awarePrivacy-by-design, ANPD-friendly posture
Why Brazilian companies hire cross-border from Argentina
Brazil is the biggest tech market in Latin America — unicorns like Nubank, iFood, Rappi (originally Colombian but huge in BR), Gympass, Mercado Livre, Stone, and the post-exit ecosystem of founders building the next wave. Senior engineers are in demand and compensated accordingly. If your project can wait or has budget for tier-1 local rates, hiring locally works. If you need senior expertise now and for a defined engagement, cross-border is often the cleaner option.
From Argentina, the timezone is identical and the language barrier is real but manageable — technical conversations in English or Portuguese work, I write and read Portuguese at a functional level (not native). For Brazilian companies that operate in English internally (common at tech-forward startups), the language question often doesn't come up at all.
Where this fits best: Brazilian SaaS expanding regionally (LATAM or US), fintechs needing specific Pix or Open Finance integration expertise for scoped features, e-commerce platforms migrating Boleto-centric checkouts to Pix-first, and LGPD compliance work where the architecture needs a rebuild rather than bolt-on.
Billing: services from exterior, reverse-charge on the Brazilian side under standard import-of-services rules. Your contador handles ISS withholding and IRRF as applicable. Payment in USD via Wise or international bank transfer is simplest; BRL if preferred, at the PTAX rate on the day of invoice. Contracts pegged to USD protect both sides from Real volatility — standard practice for Brazilian companies working with international contractors.
FAQs
